Step 1
Obtain a referral
• Patient is required to obtain a referral from a Medical Doctor or Allied Healthcare Professional, including a Naturopath, Nutritionist, Herbalist, Osteopath, Chiropractor or Sports Physiologist, who is registered with Diagnostic Insight.
• Your Healthcare Professional will supply a referral by providing a “Patient Order Form”.
• What if you’re Healthcare professional is not registered with Diagnostic Insight? They can simply register online at www.diagnosticinsight.com.au or call Customer Service on 02 9966 9990.
• If you don’t have a referral, please contact us and we can put you in touch with a Healthcare Professional in your area who can advise on appropriate test investigations.

Step 4
Payment process
• In order to process your order a $15 Postage and Handling fee is required prior to dispatch
• Payment for the test is upon submission of the sample. Payment options are within the kit supplied
• Prepaid tests can be arrange over the phone

Step 5
Receiving your test kit(s)
• You will receive your kit via Australia Express Post
• If you are not home when delivery is attempted an Australia Post Call Card will be left in your mail box for pick up at your local Post Office
Preparing your specimen
Specimen Kit Content Check list
• Relevant Collection materials and biohazard bag
• Test requisition form enclosed within the plastic sheath on top of the test kit
• Specimen collection instructions
• Courier instruction for returning specimen (read this prior to colleting your specimen)
• Patient questionnaire (optional)
The charge for test will be made when the specimen is received by Diagnostic Insight.
If required conditions for the specimen collection are not adhered to and the specimen is rejected for these reasons, a $40 charge will be required for processing a re- submission.
Results are normally available between 2½ and 3 weeks from the time of receipt by Diagnostic Insight of the specimen.
Two copies of the results/reports (an Electronic Copy and a hard copy) are then sent to the referring Doctor/Clinician only. Results are not sent to the patient direct as they are subject to interpretation.
